According to the Angolan minister, Joaquim David, this is a long-term cooperation agreement whose advantages may not be perceptible at the moment.

He said that the they agreed on the exchange of information, as the country is about to approve the Mining Code and in a stage to get geophysics data to better know its geologic potential, just like Guinea Conakry, although there has already been identified mining fields.

He added that basically it was decided an exchange of opportunities, as the West African country is interested in Angolan companies to cooperate with its firms, prospecting and exploring mining fields in Guinea Conakry territory.

Thus, he forwarded that there is a similar invitation for the oil sector, opening ways for the cooperation in areas with bigger potentials.

In his turn, Guinea Conakry's minister of Mining and Geology, Mohamed Lamine Fofana, referred the huge advantages with the signing of this document, which he considered as historical one.
